So you want to upskill in AI?

👋 Hello UNTAM3rs:

The Year of the Dragon is firmly upon us. What we love about celebrating two New Years is that it provides another chance for us to renew some New Year's resolutions we might have overlooked on January 1st. Last year, it threw us, the co-founders, many colourful adventures: two of us moved countries, one of us had a baby, and three of us started new careers. We navigated the ups and downs of life all while keeping the wheels turning at UNTAM3D as best as we could.

So much in daily life calls for our attention, and our objectives, both personally and professionally, have been about radically shifting our focus. We aim to prioritise a flow mindset, leverage our collective strengths in what comes naturally, and upskill in AI. As we engage with our community, we’ve realised that it’s not about needing more; its about needing better. Better curation of knowledge and practical insights are key - and we hope to provide exactly that moving forward.

Bridging the AI skills gap

There's been lots of talk about ‘why’ AI will change everything, displace the human workforce and change daily life as we know it (very quickly). But in spite of this, few seem to know how to really use it. (beyond putting simple prompt queries into ChatGPT).

Last Wednesday UNTAM3D co-founders Evelina Lye and Stephanie Dickson together with Vogue Singapore and Arcc Spaces hosted a joint Being Human: The AI Advantage event.

Industry experts Audrey Chia 🚀Deeps De Silva Jennifer Gautama shared a tonne of practical AI knowledge plus Stephanie Dickson deep-dived into what the future might look like with AI Agents.

Here’s some of what we learnt:

💥Train AI Agents: 

Supercharge your productivity by creating a virtual team of AI agents. Use Taskade. You can go from a team of 1 to a team of 10 AI agents, who you train, to do different tasks for you.

💥Build a Prompt Library: 

Think of great prompts as a great instruction manual. The more clear the ask, the better the output. Save prompt sequences you love for easy, repeatable and consistent outputs over time. 

💥Leverage AI as a Creative Partner: Our speakers shared how they use AI tools as part of their creative projects to speed things up, brainstorm, and enhance productivity. Learning how to integrate these tools now will help you stay ahead.

💥 Some Tools To Explore: Character.AI to dive into conversations with different characters, Sybill for sales teams, DeepL AI-powered online translation services, Devin AI software engineer. 

👥 All this talk of technology might leave you feeling mixed emotions. Audrey Chia 🚀 's comment - that while it won’t be long before everyone is using AI, what will truly make us - YOU - stand out is our uniquely human traits – connection, empathy, emotion and ingenuity.
